Perception without priors

No map, no satellites, no labelled data from the place you are going.

Our models are trained on physics rather than on photographs of a specific planet. Terrain is estimated from geometry, shadow and material response, so a system that works in the Atacama does not need retraining for Jezero.

Decisions behind the delay

Up to forty minutes round trip. Nothing important can wait for that.

Operators express intent — objectives, constraints, risk appetite. Nexus converts intent into thousands of local decisions, each checked against a safety envelope that was verified before launch.

Survival engineering

Most off-world hardware does not fail. It wears out.

Abrasive dust, 60 K daily swings and vacuum-welded bearings kill more missions than dramatic failures. We design for wear: sealed drivetrains, closed dust loops, and thermal storage buried below the diurnal wave.

Assurance and provenance

If a machine builds the room you will breathe in, its record has to be evidence.

Every action carries its state, model version and authorising rule. Torque values, weld parameters and placement tolerances are hashed and signed, so a habitat 200 million kilometres away can be certified for crew from the record alone.
